On April 19th 1775 John Parker and a group of 141 militia men gathered to met the British and try to prevent them from taking the ammunition they had stored in Concord. During the meeting a shot was fired, to this day no one know if it was the British forces or the Colonists who fired the first shot. However, this shot caused a larger battle to break out and became the first shot fired of the Revolutionary war. After the Battle on the Lexington Green the British continued there march to Concord, but after another fight on the North Bride in Concord they were forced to retreat to Boston.
